Bahay Kubo ni Florante.

We joined the First Design Competion by the Guild of Philippine Jewellers and asked all our workers to participate. I remember this goldsmith of ours. He was extremely nice and pleasant to work with. His name is Florante Pineda. He submitted his design and we were not surprised when we got a notice of his winning. After making his winning piece, we decided to honor him with a line of his design.

A few months later, Florante died of a tricycle accident. Not only did we lose a great goldsmith and designer, we also lost a friend. Here's to you FP!

This is his original design.

nice.

maybe you should put these items for auction and give the proceeds to the family of florante. it's the best way to pay tribute to his creativity and acknowledge his good service to your company. just a thought.....

Oh, I forgot to mention that FP passed away about 10 years ago and we have already assisted his family in many ways.

I didn't have a blog back then and just thought I would post it now.

Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Aren't they? fantastic, I mean. Perhaps we will make more but the few people that have them feel more special because they are the only ones that have it.

Let's keep it that way, FOR NOW. :)
