5th Time at The Goose Station!

Probably my 5th time to dine here, The Goose Station remains one of my most favorite places to eat.
I love the consistency of their food, preparation and presentation.

It's also a huge bonus when you are dining with such fun friends.
Dennis, me, Angela, Puey, Markus, our host Ms. Bella Yuchengco and Rene.

You will see how good it is just by the photos alone.

I can have about 10 of these Foie Gras Cone.

I call this the TRIO TEASE.

Angela and Rene were very happy with her Mushroom Tortellini.

Eggs Benedict like no other.

My Pumpkin Chawan Mushi is a must.

Markus ordered this Beetroot Salad.
Textures of beet and dragon fruit with goat cheese, herbs and nuts.

24 Hour USDA Short Rib Steak was my order. To die for.

Roasted Scallop. Fideua negra, morcilla, angulas, anchovy, lemon curd and peppers was Puey's choice.

This is a spiced sweet potato puree, fennel, black garlic crackling, cauliflower migas in shrimp bisque is what makes up this Salmon dish of Angela.

Duck Confit for Rene. I tried this last time and it was divine.

Lamb breast was Dennis' choice. His empty plate must mean it was good.
Probably too good to share because I didn't get to taste it.

Dessert!!!

Chocolate Candy Bar with Raspberries

Cheesecake Muscuvado

Tres leches (part of the Rizal menu).
This is supposed to be before Rizal was shot.

And when you dig in, out bursts a red syrup symbolizing his blood. Very artistic.
I mentioned that Carlos Celdran would surely love to try this out as the Rizal menu comes with a story behind each dish.

No to Bed Bugs.

It's probably in my top 5 of what I hate most. My first is cockroaches. Second is rats or mice. I also hate gamo - gamo. To me they are like flying ipis. I am totally grossed out with garapata. EEEEWWW....

Two weeks ago, I woke up with a few bites on my leg. I wish it were from Chris Evans but unfortunately, they were too small and itchy.

Thankfully, Steffie hooked me up with Hydrocleaners. They immediately came to my house and started to vacuum my mattress, pillows, curtains and just about everything that may have bugs and dust.

My yaya said that the water that the Rainblow Vaccum had was almost black. Dirt, dust and whatever is now gone from my room and into the water which of course, is easy to dispose.

If you love yourself, DO IT. Call them now to have your mattresses, sofas, carpets cleaned! Things living inside them might be the cause of rash, asthma and itchies!

A few notes that I learned from Sherelle:

1. If you are going to put your mattress out into the sun, it has to be at least 3 hours to kill the bugs. But even if the bugs are dead, their bodies are still in the bed. This is why vacuum is important.

2. Mattress, sofa and curtain cleaning must be done at every 6 months but since I am a bit OC when it comes to bed bugs, I am having done mine quarterly.

3. When you clean your bed, don't just focus on the mattress alone. Make sure the bed frame is also cleaned.

I sleep so much better now knowing that there are no bugs crawling up my body, biting me. I am not even going to post photos of bed bugs that I found on Google. It is just TOO disgusting but I dare YOU to check them out.

Lecheng Leche Flan Yan!

This is the worst thing that can happen to those who are on a diet.

Probably the best leche flan I have ever had, PRIMABLEND. I thank Mayora Tina Dy of San Mateo for sending me some and introducing me to the this whole lotta goodness.

As you may know, during the flooding, San Mateo was one of the cities that was hit hard. This is also where we distributed the relief goods. Until now, I am sure there are a few parts, business, homes that are still suffering from the disaster.

Now, I am not from San Mateo do I know my way around it. All I know about the town is that Manila Waldorf School, the school where my daughter goes to, is in that city AND that they have PRIMABLEND.

They don't deliver but I am telling you, it's worth the trip.

TOD'S, Autumn-Winter 2012/13

The material of the Tod's Signature Collection is the essence of pure luxury and refinement. As a result of years of research and Tod’s highest craftsmanship, the modern techniques of this construction create a texture that best expresses the Italian culture and good taste.

The special effect inspired by the Gommino, imprinted on the leather to match this unique perception to a precious design, by the simple touch of the material, produces luxury and pleasure, a trade mark of a distinctive style which is coherent with the Tod’s philosophy.

For the new season, the Tod’s Signature Collection features the classic semi-opaque nappa, shiny calfskin and ultra-soft sheep skin with a suede effect. The styles include different shapes and sizes: the iconic shoulder bag, a portfolio clutch, a small trunk style, a two size shopper, a bauletto, a soft envelope clutch and a pochette.

Colors range from natural hues to powder pink to sunny yellow, paprika, teal, with flashes of orange and fuchsia.
