Dizon Versus Dizon

Thank you to Metro Society for featuring Janina and I in your December - January 2018 issue of Versus. It was fun shooting it.

Shout out to Ivar Aseron for my black dress and Jul B. Dizon for my jewels.

Thank you to House of Laurel for my blue and black gown as seen below. It made me feel like royalty. Everything that's featured on my page (except for the jewelry) are gifts from my wonderful friends. I am a lucky girl. Salamat.

Jammin' with Janina!

Actually, we didn't. Jam with Janina, I mean.

What we did do was to drink. Drank lots and lots with her to celebrate her birthday a few days ago.

Salon De Ning was the chosen party place and boy did we party like animals.

Honestly? We didn't. Party like animals, I mean.

Call time was 9 pm. Yes, 9 pm in Salon De Ning is a bit lola-like but hey, we admit it, we can't do those 1 am to 4 am parties anymore.

So 9 it was when we all gathered and drinks were passed around like it was the last night of the world. Javi Testa made sure we were all taken care of even if he had a rough night the night before (long story).

Anyway, by 11 pm, we were done and a half. I was lying on the couch with my legs up ready to doze off but Poma was busy giving me a lap dance so I had to stay awake for that.

I tried to take photos of everyone who came. I do hope that I didn't miss anyone.

Anyway, Happy Happy Birthday to my lovely sister, Janina.

Fifi was the ultimate photo bomber of the night.

Nice one James!

Thank you to Peninsula Manila for always taking care of us Dizons.

ODE, Collaboration with Manila's Finest.

When one buys jewelry, one automatically thinks of what dress/outfit to wear with it. At least, this holds true for most of my friends and sisters.

For our Anniversary last month, we decided to give recognition to four very fashionable women of the past. We chose these four according to our own personal style.

It didn't end with the woman and the jewelry, we had to work with fashion designers who will render the completion of our desired look for the models that will represent the chosen icons.

Ginny's design embodies the ever-glamorous Elizabeth Taylor. We couldn't think of a better fashion designer than Rajo Laurel.

To go with the formality of the event, Rajo designed a beaded swimsuit, a dramatic matching cape and a turban that brought out the beauty of both the model and the jewelry. It was exactly what Ginny had wanted.

I have always loved Grace Kelly. I think she was the perfect choice for me because we both share the love for flowers. I asked JC Buendia to work with me because I know how delicate his creations are. Very proper and sweet.

"Hers is a style aesthetic that I also adhere to. I believe that if she were alive today, she would be attracted to my jewellery designs.”

That's what Janina Dizon-Hoschka has to say about her choice, Wallis Simpson.
Ivarluski Aseron was clearly the person to work with.

"My vision for this collection embodies an interpretation of the Modern East, influenced by an art deco form which I drew from Tina Chow's ethnic background and style sensibility." - Lucille Dizon

The clean, structured and geometric expertise of Joey Samson is why Lucille chose him to make the dress for "Tina Chow."

Rajo Laurel, Ivarluski Aseron, Joey Samon and JC Buendia also did our clothes for the event.

Thank you for your never ending support and love to the Dizon ladies.

Mommy's Gift to Me.

A month ago, I opened my big mouth and told Janina that it would be nice if she and Toby renewed their wedding vows. She thought it was a good idea and booked Rigodon and assigned everyone their tasks. It was a surprise birthday for Toby as well, so he knew nothing about the celebration.

The directions were to lead Toby up to the room where his clothes are waiting for him. He is also to be interviewed by Dondi for the post party video.

Just a week before, I had the rebranding event of Jul Dizon and she saw the table set up. I was asked to do the same style for her tables. Very early that Saturday morning, I went to the market with very little allowance for the flowers.

Went to Peninsula by 1 pm to find firetrucks all over the place. This set back the set up of the tables and utensils by a good hour but the staff were working double time to make the deadline. It was great to see managers take off their coat and set the tables up. It was quite touching.

After the Pen staff did their thing, it was my turn to flowerize the place up.

7 tables later....we were ready for the ceremony.

It's times like this that I miss my Mom most. I try to make her proud.

Stay tuned for more.
