Feeling Queen.

I don't drink wine. Not red, not white. I just don't. I don't like the taste. BUT I wish I did. I like the image of a lady holding on to a sleek wine glass, laughing and looking glamourous. I know, petty right? Anyway, when I told everyone my plans of going to NAPA, they couldn't stop telling me how wonderful wine tasting is.

I was actually more excited about NAPA itself. It has been a decade and more since I last went to this place and I wanted to experience the culture and ambiance it has to offer.

Michael Bello, our NAPA expert/tour-guide/photographer/driver/BFF, took us to Castello di Amorosa. As soon as he switched off the car engine, I was in love. I was so excited to go in that I left my purse in the car. When I got up to the entrance they asked me for my ID and I had to run back down to get it. In a way, I love the fact that they needed proof that I am not below 21.

When I got out of the car, I was clicking away because everything that I saw was gosh darn beautiful.

Entrance fee is $18.00, seems pretty steep especially since I don't drink wine, but it was worth every penny. These photos are just the outdoors. Just wait till I get inside the castle.

The chapel can fit around 80-90 pax.

Even the faucets are ferocious!

The grand hall. Perfect for a wedding reception!

Inside the dungeon, where the wine tasting is located, there are a lot of goodies for sale. Plates, soaps, books, even jewelry! I instantly knew in my heart that my Mom was with me because she LOVED these kinds of places.

Thought of you Ginny, but they were so pricey!

After the wine tasting, we headed back out to this beautiful scenery.

The little itsy bitsy baby grapes!!!

Check what they do to empty bottles of wine! They cut it, polish the rough edges and pour candle wax!! LOVE!

Playing the part oh-so-well!!!
Thank you Michael for this wonderful experience!

Glee-lightful!

WARNING: Do not read/watch if you don't like Glee. Yes, I am talking to you, Jenny.

On my 3rd day in California, I was invited to watch the GLEE Concert Tour in San Jose. The whole freaking place was packed and so many people took a chance to buy a ticket at the door but to no avail. Every seat was sold. Cheapest ticket? $100.00

Here's what it looked like.

One thing that I noticed...the stages here in the US for concerts are so darn awesome!!! I just remembered the stage of Janet Jackson in Manila. It was a bit sad. But I am sure that her stage here in the US would be gazillion times better. Also, in the US, the artists hardly lip sync because the audience deserve to hear them sing live. Here in Manila, almost all the songs are lip synced. I may be bitter but I think that if we pay as much as $300.00 for a seat to watch a concert, we ought to hear them sing live.

Here are videos of some of the songs they sang. I loved them all except the Friday song by Rebecca Black. That made me sick.

The Warblers!

I was still very strict with my diet and watching Kwenby eat all the junk food was really testing my will power. Thankfully, I stayed true. My dietician would be proud.

Thank you Tyger, Pepet, Kwenby and Jaime for this GLEE-LIGHTFUL experience!!!

Kwenby's Fashion Week.

Do you remember when I did Lucille's Fashion Week? I guess it must have made a ripple because after that post, Lucille has been in so many glossies! I make sure that it was me that "discovered" her and constantly ask for my PR fees but she just won't budge.

When I was in the US, I hung out with my cousin a whole lot and every day that we would go out, I was always amazed at how cool and fashionable she dressed. I guess it runs thick in the family. Naks!

Anyway, I decided to show you her daily get up and just in case she becomes the next cover girl of Preview, I better get my commission.

Just wanted to focus on her accessories! Some pieces are actually locally made in the Philippines! Love it!

Making My Feet Happy.

With around 1,500 photos of my trip to the US, I really don't know where to start my "story telling".

There was not a single day that I stayed home. It was a very adventurous, family oriented, expensive but fun 3 week vacation.

I guess for now, I should start with a short post about my new babies. I guess I shouldn't say this to keep my level to KLAZZY but I have to be honest with you guys. I got these shoes at almost 65% off at Neiman Marcus! It was the Memorial Day Sale and I shopped till my credit card started to melt.

At the end of the day, my feet are happy. That's all that matters....for now.

Leave of Absence.

Dear Readers,

I am on my last week of vacation here in the US of A and I am already sad about leaving. We all love it here and the thought of seeing the traffic on EDSA and the crappy NAIA is already making me want to puke.

Please stay tuned for all the stories and places that I will blog about when I get back in Manila.

Something to look forward to is our 33rd Anniversary Show. IT will be AMAZING.

For now, just be patient and don't stop loving me.
