Lifestyle Asia Named World Gourmet Summit 2012 Partner

Manila, Philippines—April 2012—Lifestyle Asia has been designated as the official Philippine publication partner of the 2012 World Gourmet Summit (WGS). The largest culinary event in Asia, held annually in Singapore, brings together luminaries in the food and wine industry. Renowned chefs, vintners and epicures converge in the city state to prepare and indulge in exceptional gastronomy.

The summit was launched 16 years ago and has since grown to become Asia’s most awaited epicurean event, billed as the “Oscars of food and wine.” Over the years, an international roster Pof Michelin starred and celebrity chefs have collaborated to bring the best of eastern and western sensibilities to the table. These have included Ferran Adrià, Anthony Bourdain, Pierre Hermé, Anne-Sophie Pic and Curtis Stone.

This year’s WGS is themed “A Heritage of Flavours: Your Tradition, Our Innovation.” From April 23 to May 3, discriminating palates can take part in intimate dinners with such noted, Michelin-starred chefs as this year’s headliner, the food world’s enfant terrible, Marco Pierre White; stalwart of the nose-to-tail eating movement and creator of the legendary St. Johm Restaurant in London, Fergus Henderson, and revered avant garde chef and founder of El Taller de La Terraza del Casino, Adria’s protégé, Paco Roncero.
