My Love for Robert and Bacolod.

Robert Blancaflor and I do not often see each other but I believe that we have that kind of friendship where we just pick up right where we have left off and feel as if we didn't miss a day of hanging out. So when he told me months ago that he was going to celebrate his 50th birthday in Bacolod, I was more than happy to attend.

I have never been to Bacolod so I was excited to see what it has to offer. Let me tell you, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.

The celebration was very well attended. Friends and family from all over the world came to celebrate with Robert. The event ran so smoothly. Not a minute where were were not entertained or fed well. The service was impeccable and singers were so fun and engaging.

Happy Birthday again Robert and let me just say that I am thankful for having you in my life. It is where you will be a very special part of forever and ever.

Celebrity chef, Gaita Fores prepared two dishes for us and it was just wonderful. She also introduced us to Chef Ynan Del Rosario, the executive chef of Seda Hotel, Bacolod.

After the party, we had about two days to explore Bacolod. It is beautiful, interesting and boy, did it feed us well.

My long time friend Keng Jison lives there but she was in Manila at the time of my visit so I didn't get to see her but she was extremely kind to lend me her car and driver to take Jacqueline and I around.

We met friends that hosted lunch for us in their weekend home. A great big shout out to Chef Ynan for introducing us to the Grey Family. I am still craving for your adobo, boneless chicken inasal and ribs.

Up at the Grey's weekend home, we were treated to this magnificent view, unforgettable lunch and wonderful company.

David Dadivas prepared this mouth watering paella.

What a great weekend it was. I can't wait to go back.

Weddings at the Peninsula, 2014.

Every year The Peninsula Manila holds a bridal fair spearheaded by my BFF, Stephanie Chong. This year was special. Not only is my daughter, Caitlin. in the Events Department of the hotel,  I am officially part of TPM's family under the E-commerce Department.

I was able to book a bride and last but definitely not the least, THE Francis Libiran showcased 40 beautiful gowns and suits as the finale, directed of course by my dear Robby Carmona.

I knew I had taken a whole lot of photos during the whole day event, posting some on Instagram but I didn't realize that I had taken 1,100 photos until the day after.

Even if the whole hotel was filled with amazing table set ups, flower arrangements, food and dessert spread that's to die for and live music from a 10 man orchestra, there are a few photos that stands out and I want to share them with you.

The wonderful team of Chef Richard Green for preparing the food tasting corner!

The dessert spread of Chef Aaron Maree was sinfully good. I am drooling as I type this.

Cindy Beltran of Moss Manila killed it with this beautiful white French courtyard.

Lucky guests were able to take home these amazing gifts from Happy Skin, L'Occitane and Hermes.

I was able to capture the GM, Sonja Vodusek being interviewed by ABS-CBN.

Robert Blancaflor for Jody's 21!

It was a last minute decision on my part. Well, I had two weeks to prepare but for a surprise party, that's pretty much cramming.

I was running out of options for a venue so I made decided to hold Jody's 21st Birthday and early graduation party at home. Since the weather was still good end of February, outdoors was not such a bad idea.

So I had the cars removed to make space for the party. When it was empty, I was didn't know what to do with the space so I did the best thing I can ever do. Call Robert Blancaflor.

That morning, his staff came over and transformed this.......

.....to this.

Small corners for lounge chairs were added.

Thank you to my gays for coming and showing lots of love to my baby girl.

And to all her friends who kept it a secret and helped me with the surprise (though I failed at it)
....thank you.

And now that she has graduated, I am so proud that she's officially a working girl....but to me, she will always be my baby.

To Robert Blancaflor, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity, generosity and loyalty. You will always be my good friend.

An ODE to the Women of Jul B. Dizon.

For the venue, we booked The Peninsula Manila.

For the ballroom, we got Robert Blancaflor as stylist.

Villa Del Conte was kind enough to give our guests chocolates.

Our hair was by Kiehl's,

The models and our make up was by Shu Uemura.

Cat Cantada-Dizon did mine.

Omar Ermita did my legs. He complained a lot. He said that one case of Bathina is not enough. (hahaha)

It was an awesome Instagram moment, although, I am sure this scene happens to celebrities ALL THE TIME. Here's George Aliben and Ogie Rayel working on my hair.

Thank you Kiehl's and Shu Uemura for making the women of Jul B. Dizon, models and mortals, look very glamorous.
