Hapag in Katipunan.

So happy that we have a new restaurant in our area. Quezon City needs more classy places to eat.

Hapag is in Katipunan, 10 minute drive away from the house. It's quite hidden so drive really slow once you are on the main road. It is on the right side of Katipunan (south bound). Parking is quite limited. Your clothing might smell of the food as it is an open kitchen.

What they try to push is the 8 course-dinner. It's 2,500/person. I loved everything in the menu. Unfortunately, the steak was too salty but after we told the server about it, they were able to fix the 2nd order. The oyster in the mini hamburger bun is my favorite.

Would I go back? For sure!!!

Sala with my Doñas.

It started with drinks. Ven usually orders for me because she knows that I have zero knowledge about alcohol. She knows that I like it sweet wherein I can hardly taste the bitterness. She got me an Amaretto Sour. I've had this before but I just can't seem to remember how my body reacted to it. It tasted so good.

I drank and within 5 minutes, I was practically ready to slide of all the table setting so I can dance on the table. Such a disgrace. I remember my ears burning and face ready to burst with so much blood. I did, however, make my Doñas laugh which is something I am happy about.

They all say that I need more practice.

Sala is always a good idea. I love the newly renovated restaurant and the food is always good. Service, impeccable.

Can't wait for my next "practice" session with you girls. Love you!

Tiff at Ruby Jack's.

Celebrating the birthday of Tiff is always such a treat. Not only do we get to have plenty of laughs and juicy stories, we get to partake in a delicious meal.

This year, we had it in Ruby Jack's in City of Dreams where the most tender and juicy steak is prepared with perfection. When you ask for medium rare, you are surely to get it just right.

But first, we had fresh oysters. Seriously? I can have more than a dozen of these.

Scallops are served in a sizzling plate.

Lamb! (I am drooling)

And of course, dessert.

The cheesecake is the winner.

It is always such a fun night with these beautiful ladies.
Happy Birthday Tiff. You know we love you!

Vatos, Kor-Mex Restaurant.

Tried Vatos the other night with the family. We enjoyed the food and ambiance. Service was great. However, be prepared to dig deep in your pockets. You would probably need to spend more than a thousand bucks per person to get full. Serving size is quite small. As a friend told me, he finds it more of a bar chow kind of a restaurant.

Their version of lumpia. I liked the flavor.

Carnitas are good but I think that it may be too expensive for these two pieces.

I like this a lot. It's very cheesy and it arrived hot and crispy.

Their burrito might need a bit more meat in them but I like the flavor.

Chicken wings are always a favorite of mine. I liked their Tequila-Honey wings.

Nutella nachos ala mode.

For people that know me, you know that half a glass of happy liquid will get me totally sloshed but I had one glass of their margarita and I didn't even get red-faced which only means that their drinks might be weak.

A Walk into Grace Park.

I have only eaten here once before so I am very grateful to Lucy Gomez when she suggested that we have dinner in Grace Park last Friday.

Everything that we ordered was truly delicious. Service was quick and food was served hot!
Happy tummies and the company was equally great.

Lucy kept mentioning the avocado pie, which unfortunately, they had run out of. That only gives us another reason to come back.

Thank you for the laughter! We should do this again soon!!

My Trying Hard Gang.

This dinner was, no exaggeration, five months in the making. We all wanted to get together before Christmas but getting all nine of us available at the same night is just so difficult....but a few weeks ago, we finally did it.

The restaurant of choice, after many many reservations and cancellations is Bar Pintxos in Fort. We all agreed that the food is consistently good and it's quite near to everybody.

Turned out, it became Christine's birthday treat for the gang. So, a great big thank you for that Chris!!

Now, let's start with what we had.

Love this.

Tortilla Patatas Chorizo, so-so.

I could eat this all myself.

A must try. Lamb Paella.

Chopito Frito. They either need a smaller plate or more squid per order.

Our usual group shot....but wait, after seeing this photo, Christine said that it looked too stiff. That it didn't seem like we were such good friends...she wanted us closer....perhaps a selfie is best....

So in the car, Santi tried.... (disaster).

In Tomatito, where we had dessert, it was Jo's turn to try. (Not everyone was happy about this photo.)

So we passed the phone to Ven..... (seems decent enough).

But we all went back to having a waiter take the shot.

But no matter how near or far, how often or seldom I see them, I love my friends dearly.

Thank you for dessert Tiff!!!

I still have to try out Tomatito for dinner but Bar Pintxos, I shall return.

P.S. We call ourselves the TH gang because we try so hard to stay out late and party like rockstars. But sadly, we were all tired come midnight.
