Barbie All Glammed Up!

This Barbie is dressed up by National Artist, Mr. Pitoy Moreno.

My question is....why the hell did BALLET PHILIPPINES not invite me? I am so hurt. This would have been such a joy to do! I would have Barbie wear a diamond tiara, a ruby suite and even diamond studded shoes!!! SIGH... I am sad.

Anyway, yesterday at the Press Event, I was able to see the works of a lot of my friends in the fashion industry. Barbie has never looked so glamourous. She is hot hot hot!

Fashion designers were tapped into creating couture clothes for Barbie to benefit Ballet Philippine's dance scholars.

Ballet Philippines President Margie Moran-Floirendo says, "Through Ballet Barbie, we hope to create the perfect blend of Barbie and Ballet and come up with something that every girl will want to keep and cherish for the rest of her life."

The project brings together a number of the most talented arbiters of fashion including Pitoy Moreno, Aureo Alonzo, Pepito Albert, Cary Santiago, Puey Quinones, James Reyes, Dennis Lustico, Rhett Eala, Rajo Laurel, Tippi Ocampo, Frederick Peralta and many many more.

Waffle Battle!!!

It's down to three folks. I am not considering A and C in the contest anymore since they got little votes.

Waffle Election!

Ginny, Lucille, Anne, Janina and I went to HK for the weekend. During one of our breakfast in the hotels, I decided that we should have a waffle contest. Best presentation using whatever is available in the buffet spread.

Turkish Delight!

Michael Salientes texted me one evening that I should try this Turkish restaurant very near my home. He swears that it is very good. I promised him I would and a few days later, I found myself in the restaurant. Am I a good girl or what?

I didn't know what to order. I am not good with Turkish food. Good thing the owner came by our table and assisted us. He recommended the mixed grilled meats (chicken, pork and beef), green salad, assorted dips and pita bread and roasted lamb.

I haven't posted the pics yet but I am telling you...I am already salivating. It was indeed very good. I can't wait to bring my whole clan over to try it out. The meats were tender and juicy. The salad was fresh and the dressing was light and sweet.

We came a little too early. The shawarma wasn't set up yet. But next time I go, chicken shawarma is what I should order, according to MS.

Promotion At Paseo!

The family had a dinner to celebrate the promotion of Toby at Paseo. It was a wonderful evening to have spent it with a quiet dinner with your loved ones...... especially if it's a BUFFET!!!



Yummy! Loved the food and looking at the photos now just makes my tummy growl with hunger.

Charisse Chuidian had a cake sent to the celebrant. To tell you honestly, the pastry department of Mandarin has improved quite a lot. The deli is offering really nice looking and delicious sweets. I think that Chef Roberto Molleman is a great addition to the Mandarin Oriental family.


Next step, room renovation!

Puey's 30th!

It was nice to see Soberclub again. After a hectic week of emotional ups and downs, a fun party is always a welcoming thing. I was a pretty good girl. Didn't do that many shots but still...if you know me, 3 of these super sweet shots are enough to make me boogie on down.
