Do you want to be in King James' Shoes?

Ok, call me a dork but I didn't know who James LeBron was until Isabel Gatuslao came to Jul B. Dizon for a project.

Perhaps I would hear my brother CJ shout, " GO LEBRON!!!!" once in a while when he would watch basketball. I don't know. I stopped following basketball since Anejo and Purefoods. That was when I was in love with Alvin Patrimonio.

Anyway, King James. I was shocked at how many people lined up to get tickets for his appearance here in Manila. I guess he's really good at what he does. I still like Michael Jordan. Gosh, I am old.

I googled to know a little bit more about him and I was quite surprised to see him on the cover of Vogue with Gisele Bundchen. Although it looked a lot of fun shooting, I kinda don't get the angry shouting face while hugging the jolly and smiling Gisele.

Now, this one I like!!!!

The story about how Jul B. Dizon got involved, somehow, with King James is because of Ms. Isabel Gatuslao. She was asked to design a pair of shoes in the name of the King and thought that some kind of jewelry would be different and unique.

She went to Ginny and from there, three of our basketball addicted goldsmiths went into full warrior gear and stayed up all night to make some of the design into reality.

The outcome.

Putting it on the shoe.

The final look with Isabel's additional design.

Read all about it in Isabel Gatuslao.com

It is also the only shoe, so far, that has been featured in King James' website which makes it super duper, ultra mega special!!!

Read all about it in James Lebron.com

Congratulations Isabel!!! I know a little bit more about James LeBron, thanks to you.

By the way, where is Alvin Patrimonio nowadays?

My Birthday Wish List!!!

Since I started blogging, I have become extremely thick faced by posting my birthday wish list on here. I wanted NOT to do it this year but honestly, so many of my friends are asking me to post one.

I keep telling my friends not to bother with getting me a gift because my room is looking a lot like a jungle. I have too many things that I have taken over my Mom's former office. In fact, I can already hold a major garage sale!

But my friends love me!!! I keep getting something in my office and home everyday and to be frank, receiving gifts make me happy, so I have decided to not stop you guys from making me smile!!

I used to always have UTI but since I started drinking Cranberry supplements, it just stopped. Never had it since, so I know that this is something that will keep me healthy.

I am crushing on these Prada wallets. Just throwing it out there. A girl can dream, right?

I have a serious need for another charger. I have an iPad 2, iPhone 3 and an iPhone 4. They all have the same charger and for some reason, I only have 1 left with me.

Hermes beach towel. I am already thick faced, I might as well go ALL THE WAY!!!

Always have the need for contact lenses solution. I am still too much of a coward to have my eyes lasered. BUT if you are part of my family, you are not allowed to give me this.

Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water. It's the mildest way for me to take off my make up.

These work on taking off my make up too and I love the smell on my face. Family members, please do not even think about this one.

I know some of you gave me bathmats last year but I left them all with my ex. Sigh, anyway, I don't want those, I want new ones.

For my month long European trip, I need all the scarves I can get.

I discovered this toothpaste from Lucille and Ginny and I really like it!!! I am not sure if it is available here in the country but I did see it in a 7-11 store in HK.

The Game of Thrones 4-Book Set because deep inside I know I am Khaleesi.

MAC Sheen Supreme!!! I only want one BUT if you insist in getting me all, that's ok too.

And so far, that's really all I want. Now, don't worry about gift wrapping them. I am fine with used paperbags. BWA HA HA!!!

I hope my anonymous hater doesn't read my blog anymore because he/she might get this post all wrong again.

Birthday Lunch at The Tivoli.

July. When this month comes, it is either I am really excited or dreading it. So many things happen when it is July.

In the Dizon Family, there are 6 birthday celebrants. That means 6 parties.
It is also the Anniversary of Jul B. Dizon Jewellery which means, we need to prepare BIG time for our show. It is also when I need to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family.

It gets tricky when I do celebrate it because I need to segregate my friends into their proper groups to be able to enjoy maximum pleasure (wow, that sounds a bit kinky).

I look for nice places to hold the parties in. I want everyone of my guests to have fun and to experience only good things.

Since I became a blogger, I was able to document almost all my birthday celebrations. Here's a quick look back of what I had thrown in the past.

July 2012, I tried to copy Oprah's Favorite Things and gave my friends all sorts of gifts!!!

July 2011: I had a joint celebration with Lawrence Tan in the beautiful home of Ferdie Ong. Meron pa akong jowa nun. I was turning 39!!!

For July 2010, I had 20 friends over for movie and massage at BlueWater Day Spa.

This year, the first of many celebrations was held at The Tivoli, Mandarin Oriental with beautiful women that are dear to me.

My dearest friend, Robert Blancaflor sent over a simple yet beautiful flower centerpiece and stands for the jewelry pieces I displayed. I chose 9 pieces that represent each of my guests.

Mandarin also did an amazing job with the room styling. Loved the fresh flowers scattered around the Roxas Room.

We first helped ourselves to the Appetizer Buffet spread. (Notice the cute white guy over the horizon?)

My first guest was Liz Almoro and of course, Charisse Chuidian, was present even if she is on her leave. How sweet is that?

The gorgeous Pops Fernandez and Lucy Gomez.

Liz, Joanna Cabangon, Cris Albert, Sonja Vodusek and yours truly.

Pops, Cris Roque, Joanna and Lucy.

Alta sociedad ang peg.

After our main course, we were asked to get up and watch the Dessert Surprise. The table cloth was taken out and underneath was a special table cloth. We had no idea what was going to happen but it really did excite us.

Then came 5 chefs who started making art on the table with sweet ingredients.

One held a different ingredient and color and texture.

And around and round they went piling the table up with sugary love.

More and more.....

Until this was created. It consisted of meringue, raspberry sauce, white and dark chocolate sauce, chocolate slabs, mango sauce and biscotti. In those cracked open chocolate bowls, was another surprise. They put on the table around 12 scoops of vanilla ice cream too!

And then, they poured "magic" into the bowls.

Then the chefs lifted the bowls up in the air and....

...dropped it and it fell and cracked it open....the goodness spilling out on the canvas of sweet treats.

Notice the spoons? They are made out of chocolate!!

Watch the craziness here. But before you do that, please excuse my forever ranting about eating all that goodness off a man. Boy, when I was listening to the video, all I kept saying was, where's the guy?? Tigang talaga. Hahaha. But I also realized that Pops is so very funny. I couldn't stop laughing!

"I thought we were going to lick it off a guy!!"

Cheers to my wonderful friends and the gift of Mandarin Oriental to lil' old me.

When Readers Do Not Read.

By now, you must know about my posts about ChilLine T House, the good and the bad. If you want, you can re-read the Good Side of ChilLine T House once again to refresh your memory about what I wrote.

I recently got this comment from Anonymous and it just proves that when some people read, they either:

1. Really don't try to understand what they are reading.

2. React violently right away without letting the words sink in.
3. Cannot read between the lines.
4. Just love to hate making themselves haters.
5. Has no sense of humor.
6. Not really very smart.

Hey, I really don't like being mean but Anonymous did say I have a fat hip. That's below the belt, literally.

So, what I did was to ask Fifi, the reason why I got a very rude comment, to be my guest writer and address this commenter himself, after all, Anonymous did try to defend him.

This is the comment that I got.

Ugh wow you can blog about all these parties and events and you can't give your loyal employees decent clothes? I mean are you serious? Asking on the internet? Wtf kind of person are you. I feel bad that they have worked for you for 15 years. I honestly hope they get better employers and you slip and break your fat hip going down your high horse. on The Good Side of ChilLine T house.

This is Fifi's reply.

To my defender:

Please allow me to straighten some facts:
1.  I am not a houseboy.  I am a housegirl!
2.  I am not poor.  I will be, if I don't marry a girl before my mother leaves this world.
3.  I don't need donations.  The butas butas shirt is actually a design from a famous Japanese avant garde designer, Kikofuji Nanbantei.
4.  The sandals is not my only pair.  I wear those on purpose to get shoes as gifts for Christmas, birthday and Holy Week!
5.  The driver isn't actually JUST a driver.  He is also my lover.  Yes, to his wife, I am known as the husband's lover! And he is the one wearing the decent clothes. Obviously, he is doing very well, being employed by the Dizon's, which makes me think about applying there.
6.  My real address is: 1B Sandamakmak na Pera Drive, Pamana sa Kung Sinuman ang Magpa-anak Sa Akin Village, Mukhang Hindi Naliligong Instik City

If one day though, I do become poor, worry not!  I am well equipped with various degrees both from cheap and expensive schools - which will help me become rich again!  And hopefully be able to buy the love of the man of my dreams!

On a very serious note, I truly appreciate your care and love (love daw oh!).  The words written by Candy about me were all just for fun!  Close kami sobrang sobra!  Live life and light!!

P.S.  Don't be deceived by the picture.  I am extremely good looking in Ferson.

Yours,

Housegirl
