Teresa's Way....

When Ms. Teresa Herrera posted in Facebook that she needed a truck to deliver goods to Villamor Airbase, I offered my Dad's elf (without asking him first, yikes).

The next morning, my staff and I headed towards PDIC warehouse to load the donations she was able to collect from her wonderful friends. 

I signed a release form of 30 boxes filled with assorted relief goods. 

For the clothes and blankets, we were told to place them in this gymnasium. 

Mountains of clothes and shoes are available for all the typhoon survivors to choose from. 

After placing the boxes down, I headed down to see what else is needed to be done. I am quite happy to report that there's so much help already waiting in Villamor Airbase. 

SM sent over a Mobile clinic.....

...and a truckload of relief packs. 

A tent was converted into a mini hospital where all the aid that you need is easily available. Was this close to asking if they offered liposuction. I would be first in line. 

Then I see another truck unloading thousands of bottled water. 

Smart and Globe offered free calls. (no photo of Globe area, sorry)

So much love in this country. 

Make A Wish, Erika!

We were eating at the lobby when Steffie pointed us to the president of Make a Wish Foundation. Jenny and I asked her to introduce us so that we may offer any kind of assistance it may need. 

Khalil told us that they are going to have a small event at Salon De Ning of The Peninsula Manila where the foundation's 1000th wish will be granted. 

Erika, 13, has undergone brain surgery 3 times already because of a brain tumor. Her wish is to become a fashion designer and Make A Wish decided to go all out in making her wish come true!

With the help of Teresa Herrera, Sara Black and Rajo Laurel and The Peninsula Manila, Erika's wish became a reality! 

Here's Erika's twin sister, her auntie and uncle who took care of the girls.

Erika came out in a hot pink and shiny gown that she designed and House of Laurel made for her. 

It also happens that last Monday was their birthday and so a HUGE cake, balloons and Peninsula mascot came out to surprise her and her twin sister.

The smiles on their faces was enough to make Joie, Jenny and I be a volunteer for Make A Wish. If you want to be part of this awesome foundation, please let me know so I can inform you when the assembly is.

SLIM

A whole lot of sparkling went on two nights ago at the SLIM Exhibit at the National Museum.

A few wore Jul B. Dizon Jewellery and I am happy that I had the chance to take a photo of these gorgeous women. But before I show you them, here's what I wore that evening.

Anne Curtis wore a ruby cabochon dangling earrings with diamonds and coral in yellow gold. She was STUNNING!!!



Ms. Teresa Herrera wore citrine dangling earrings with diamonds in yellow gold. It went so well with her Rajo Laurel gown.


I am such a fan! Hahaha!


Stylist, Liz Uy wore s fancy cut smokey topaz ring with white sapphires.


Janina wore 2 diamond brooches on her hair. One is a maple leaf and the other a butterfly. Lucille's earrings were hammered gold with rough cut diamonds.

These caught my eyebling! Now, this is my opinion, some women will spend thousand on their dresses and shoes, hair and make up but for me, and it's probably because I am in the business, JEWELRY MATTERS.
