Pissing Me Off!

For my FB and Twitter friends, you know what I am going through with Globe right now right? Well, I am reserving that for another post when I have all my papers ready to be presented.

For now, another thing that was brought to my attention is the outright copying of an International Award Winning piece that my sister-in-law, Ginny Dizon had designed 2006.

Tanzanite Foundation had produced a competition that Ginny happily joined and won. Her piece toured the whole world, being presented to jewelry shows to showcase the ingenious talent the winners have by designing jewelry with tanzanite as center of attention.

We are so proud of her and up until now, amazed at how beautiful this bangle is.

Seriously?? MANGO? The international brand that has Scarlett Johansson as their model? If they can afford her, shouldn't they be able to afford their own designer for their accessory line?

I mean, I am sure you can't help but be inspired by a design but this is almost the same except for the cheap stone and metal.
