Peninsula Lunch!

We decided to have lunch at the Peninsula and order the DUCK! You know me, I am a duck lover.

We were placed in a small private room and we ordered assorted dimsum and of course the duck. We were joined by MAA and Wolfy and had fun chatting about what we should do and where to go.

The best thing about the lunch.....it was a treat! Best things in life are FREE!!!

Tokyo Stories.

Going back....

Joey tried to take us to a cultural venue, a temple but when we got there, it was already closed. So we decided to have an early snack at Wolfgang Puck Express!! Are you impressed? Well, don't be. It is not what you think it is. This was a restaurant for young kids who want pizza, burgers and shakes. I am not sure Wolfgang knows about this place but if he does, then it is for sure that he doesn't visit the store often to check on standards. We ordered pizza and french onion rings.


LOVED the onion rings and loved the taste of the pizza but can it be more soggy than this?

We went to the grocery because if you know Steph, this is her main objective in life. To go to all the grocery outlets in this whole planet to buy shampoo or lotion. God only knows how many grocery shops we went to in Europe!

I bought strawberries. It was too enticing and it seemed cheap because I only had to use coins for it but in actuality, it was already US$6.00.

Anyway, brought the strawberries, chocolates, wine and chips home to the hotel where we had our own little party! Joie ordered for some clotted cream, thinking it was free but when we got the bill, it is US$9.00 2 small scoops!


We ordered for more coffee and by the end of the night, we were able to make our own little Tower of Pisa using coffee cups! Maybe it was all that caffeine!


Before going back to our hotel, we also stopped by this super store where they sell everything you can imagine. From batteries to Hermes bags to socks to microwave oven. I saw some things I wanted to get but the Japanese sizes are way to small!!!



Was having trouble sleeping in the plane on our way to Tokyo and thought I needed an inflatable pillow. I saw this instead but it would look funny to be using it in the plane, don't you think?


Fell in love with these Japanese bicycles with really nice baskets and super candy colors! It is so cheap!!! Can anyone tell me how I can bring one home to Manila?

A New Car!!!

We are getting a new car. A Toyota Previa. I like this car.



But in order for this purchase, we need to sell the old car. Nissan Cefiro, 2002, All leather, Automatic and nearly new tires. HELP ME SELL IT! Thanks peeps!!

Liam's First!

We decided on a LUAU. All things Hawaiin is easy and fun. All grilled meat, lots of pineapples, coconut and tropical flowers. Lucille and I got it all worked out when 3 days before the party, my dad said he wanted to cook and he will be making PAELLA, CALLOS and LENGUA.

Ok....I guess Spanish and Hawaiin can still go together....no need to be on a strict theme although I love sticking to the theme. Anne, Lucille and I worked on the flowers and set up of the dining area. My mom would have been proud.












This is AG's gift to Liam. A volcano with lava spurting out with chocolate coconut trees! It is made of Chocolate Fudge Brownie sponge cake with chocolate ganache cream. There's no styrofoam on this one babe. ALL FUDGE CAKE even the volcano! Guess what we will be having for dessert for the next few months.




Sonja's Cupcakes provided Hawaiin sweets!


CJ decided to screw up the theme a bit more and got BALUT and PENOY!

What a Waste!

Of course we all know that Del Monte is an UBER multi-million dollar company but I saw one way of advertising their product and it sort of made my head shake.

It was so traffic, cars were hardly moving on EDSA. In the radio station that I was listening to, the DJ's were complaining about the price of gas going up and up and away....and then I see this.

You may be saving P16.00 by buying the Litro but how much wastage of gas and space? This kind of advertising adds to the already polluted city and the driver had no air conditioning so he was inhaling all the gasses emitted by the cars. I didn't like it.
