Ouchy Photos.

This is too sad. I want to cry.

Not a good idea. Better to get the kid wet than suffocate him/her.

Scarred Cars!

Since I wasn't here when Ondoy came, I have been overwhelmed by the photos that I see of the destruction it has brought about. It is hard for me to imagine how bad it was just by mere words but when I checked out FLICKR, I saw things that I thought only happened in movies!

The cars.....they weight a ton....but the water just played with them as if they were paper...still in shock. What happens to them anyway? Do they still work after having a mud bath? Does insurance cover the damages? What about the electrical work? Do they need to be replaced?

I really don't know much about these things. But it would be good to get some answers.

Hoy Ondoy!

Steffie and I were in Monaco when Milenyo hit the Philippines last year. I heard it was really really bad. And now, we were in Hong Kong when Ondoy came to the Philippines and based on all your photos in Facebook, I can see how bad it was. I am figuring that these calamities happen when we are out of the country together, so here's the deal....we decided not to leave the country September next year.

SC and I in Nice.

SC and I in HK.

We saw all the FB status updates and we were really worried about our own families and of course those affected by this terrible flood. So many people have lost their loved ones, homes, pets and belongings. It is too sad for words.

It is good, however, to see the generous and helpful side of those who are blessed to have their families intact and belongings safe. The way people decide to get up and assist those who are down and out. Donations left and right. The grocery is packed with customers buying water, noodles and health products. It is such a great feeling to know that there are people out there who will try to make the lives of those affected a little bit better and easier.

But let's just try to take a step back. Although it is a great thing to be giving away food to the hungry...let's not forget why the flood happened in the first place and try to control this as we go along in helping the needy.

TRASH!

If you plan to give away packed meals, try not to use STYROFOAM.

After the homeless have eaten and consumed the donations we have given, try to think of a good disposal system for their trash. Without trash cans in the street (for sure they have been swept away), where will they throw their trash? Remember, these are what clogged up our drainage in the first place.

DRAINAGE, paging GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS. Instead of painting the cement of the overpass of EDSA to white, which will be dirty after a week or two, why don't you clean up what's INSIDE where it counts, instead of covering up the dirt outside?

Who needs to see the cement in white anyway.

Envy Me.

When Tita Bella heard about my ouchy heart incident, she texted me to ask me how I was doing. She gave me encouraging words and made me feel much better afterwards. After a few weeks, she and I met up at the Pen store to discuss a design. She then asked me for lunch and if you know Tita Bella and her knowledge about what great food is all about, I would be stupid to say no.

It was to be in Jasmine of The Renaissance Hotel. A Chinese restaurant that I have always wanted to go back to. The first time I was there was with CYT and Janina and we only had a few delicious dimsum.

With Tita Bella taking charge of the ordering, I knew I was in super great calorific hands.

ENJOY!

Chef Wing Ki Choi prepared our lunch which Cedric, Tita Bella and I went through like a hurricane.

Crispy lechon skin with bread and lechon meat on the bottom (salivating as I type).

The chef came out to say hello and to personally prepare my shao lung pao. Is there better service than this?

Lobster!!! I was so spoiled because T. Bella had to ask the kitchen to take the shells out for me. I am not so good at taking the meat out of crustaceans.

MMMMM, the warm barbeque pork buns are to die for.

Tenderloin slivers with garlic. Although we found the meat to be a bit tough, the flavor was so good!!! I must have had half of the plate. Cedric ate the rest with is rice, which I forgot to take a photo of (GRRR!!!).

Oh my goodness....YOU must try this dish. It is truly delicious that next time I go to Jasmine, I will order one JUST FOR ME ALONE!!

Butchi with dark chocolate oooozing out from in the inside.

Ok, your bloggerina failed to take the names of dishes that T. Bella ordered so to make it easy for you, print out the photo below and just give that to the waitress and VOILA!!! Just make sure you wear loose pants when you decide to eat here.

Here's another tidbit from the food expert, Tita Bella told Cedric and I that on Sundays, they have a dimsum festival going on and it is ALL YOU CAN EAT ICE CREAM!!!! How cool is that?

My lunch with two great friends. Thank you Tita for caring so much about me. Until our next FOODSCAPADE!!!

Amber Rose's Bikini.

I guess that even if I had the body for it, I would never wear this but then again, I am not the girlfriend of Kanye West and a former exotic dancer although I must say, I do have the moves, unfortunately, not the butt. BWA HAHAHAHA!!!

The Funniest Thing...

...happened today in the store. While I was Facebooking and craving for some Poppycock, I jokingly told Lucille to cut the tail of Anne's hair. While Anne was busy designing, I gave Lucille a pair of office scissors and without warning, she took out at least 4 inches of hair without Anne knowing! I was dying of laughter and the outcome? Check it out for yourself. I love laughing.

Since it was lopsided, I instructed the NEW hairstylist of Jul Dizon to try to straighten it. BASEMENT Salon, watch out!

By the way, will someone PLEASE send me Poppycock?
