Candifier in Bavaria.

Ten years ago I went to Europe. It was my first time and it was an adventure. It was a month long trip with SC and we had no definite plans. We just hung around our friends that lived there and wherever they went, we went. To cut a long story short, I came home with a thousand photos and I didn't know what to do with them. This is when I thought of giving birth to Candifier. A blog, that would be a good way to share the wonderful memories to my family and friends.

And now, ten years later, I am still at it. Actually, I know that I haven't been too focused on Candifier right now but once in a while I would have the energy to post something new.

For Holy Week, my girls and I went to Europe (Germany, Austria and Spain). It was a great way to bond with my daughters who are now young ladies. We all decided that Jody would be the brains (planner), Jacqueline would be the muscle (she's quite strong) and I would be the driver and the bank.

We arrived in Munich and stayed for 6 days. I rented a car so that we could go around the city without having to rely on bus or train schedules. I also love driving fast so I truly enjoyed it.

The only thing I was worried about was how to put gas in the car. But with a little help from a friend, I was able to do it just fine.

Our first stop was Marienplatz in Munich.

Europe is all about their beautiful Churches.....

...coffee outdoors and street shopping.

Faux fur hat for sale.

The next day we decided to go to Nymphenburg Palace. I think that it is beautiful and everyone should take time to see it.

Outside the castle, we must have walked 3 miles around the garden. Truly loved every minute of it. Though the weather was a bit chilly, it's much better than the heat we have now in Manila.

The souvenir shops are filled with wonderful memorabilia.

Thank you to our yaya/translator, David, for taking care of us.

Stay tuned for more.....
